To celebrate National Pancake Day on February 23rd, IHOP will be giving away one Free short stack of their signature buttermilk pancakes to all of their guests. In return IHOP is requesting that their visitors make a donation to support the Children’s Miracle Network at any of the 15 Las Vegas IHOP locations.
Visit your local IHOP this Tuesday, February 23rd as they celebrate National Pancake Day from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitors will receive one free short stack (three) of their famous pancakes, while supplies last.
IHOP began its celebration of National Pancake Day in 2006 and since then, they have raised over $3.25 million to support charities in the communities that it operates. This year’s goal is to reach $5 million in its five years of celebrating this day.
National Pancake Day is actually a celebration that dates back several centuries when the English were preparing to fast for Lent. Since strict rules prohibited the consumption of any dairy products during Lent, people would use up all of the milk, eggs and butter before the fast…this led to what we know today as Pancake Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday.
With over 15 locations throughout Vegas, you have a few options of where to enjoy your free short stack. There are two locations on Las Vegas Boulevard and the majority of the restaurants are open 24 hours.

There is a limit of one free short stack per guest. The offer is valid at participating restaurants for dine-in only while supplies last and is not valid with any other offer, special coupon or discount.

KZ Event Productions and Golden Boy Promotions are pleased to present “Campillo vs. Shumenov II”, a spectacular boxing evening set to take place on January 29th at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The boxing event will feature a 12-round main bout, Spain’s Gabriel Campillo (19-2, 5 KO’s) will defend his WBA Light Heavyweight World Title against Las Vegas resident Beibut Shumenov (8-1, 6 KO’s), who will defend his IBA Light Heavyweight World Title, in a rematch of their 2009 title fight won by Campillo in a razor-thin and highly controversial majority decision.
Former Spanish light heavyweight Champ Gabriel Campillo kicked off last year winning the European Union belt against Lolenga Mock. Just three months later on June 20, he defeated Hugo Garay in Argentina for the WBA Light Heavyweight World Title before finishing off 2009 with his win over Shumenov.
Beibut Shumenov represented Kazakhstan in the 2004 Olympics, and made his professional debut until 2007, defeating veterans Donnell Wiggins and Epifanio Mendoza, as well as former World Champions Montell Griffin and Byron Mitchell. Although he lost to Campillo in his first world title bout last year, the 26-year-old Shumenov plans to use the defeat as a learning experience and aims to reverse that result on January 29th.
“Campillo vs. Shumenov II” will also present a fight card featuring Cuban amateur star Erislandy Lara faces vs. junior middleweight Grady Brewer, winner of The Contender II reality television show, undefeated Uzbekistani fighters Gayrat Ahmedov and Ravshan Hudaynazarov, super featherweight Eloy Perez and David Rodela and boxing prospects Carlos Molina and Ronny Rios.
“Campillo vs. Shumenov II” will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Net (FSN) and its regional sports network affiliates beginning at 11 pm ET / 8 pm PT. Tickets for this action-packed night of boxing may be purchased at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel Box Office or by phone at 800-745-3000. Doors will open at 6 pm and the first bell rings at 7 pm.

Artists and performers from some of the biggest Las Vegas shows will be getting “Naked” this Valentine’s Day to raise funds for people suffering from HIV/AIDS. The “5th Annual Naked Hearts” presented by KRAVE Nightclub and staged as a benefit for Las Vegas-based HIV/AIDS charity Golden Rainbow. The event will be staged Valentine’s Day night on the Strip inside the world- KRAVE Nightclub, starting at 10:30 p.m. Dozens of dancers from many Las Vegas productions will perform throughout the night, in sexy interpretations of various fetishes. Attendees will also enjoy a special music show featuring KRAVE’s exclusive DJ, Morning Star, and go-go boys.
Money raised on this event will benefit the Golden Rainbow, a local non profit organization dedicated to provide housing and direct financial assistance to Southern Nevadans with HIV/AIDS and to fund prevention education programs. Event sponsors include KRAVE Nightclub, Q Vegas Magazine and VegasAuditions.com.

American actor, author, comedian, voice actor, and professional TNA wrestler, Mick Foley will perform three dates of his popular Total Extreme Comedy starring Mick Foley, including a show scheduled to take place in Las Vegas the night before the 2010 NFL Super Bowl.
Foley, best known for his wrestling alter egos - Mankind, Dude Love, and Cactus Jack - will make three stops in Baltimore, Maryland at the Baltimore Comedy Factory on February 3rd, a show at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and Casino on February 6th and a final show on March 5th in Manchester, New Hampshire at the Palace Theater
Mick Foley will bring a hilarious routine featuring “inside” jokes and stories about his experience in the wrestling industry, his personal experience with wrestling promoter Vince McMahon, and all wrestlers involved with the most popular “sports entertainment” in the world.
“So, over the next few months, I will be showing up at surprise locations, doing unbilled, free sets, just to get some work in; to see what works and what doesn’t, what I should and shouldn’t tweak, and what ideas just flat out suck,” Foley said in his personal blog.

For the first time in Saints history, the team that only lost three games in the 2009/2010 season, will finally play in a Super Bowl game this February 7th in Miami. Due to this obvious lack of Super Bowl experience, Las Vegas oddsmakers have opened the Super Bowl odds with the Colts as a four-point favorite.
Aside from the fact that Peyton Manning and the Colts have previous Super Bowl experience, Vegas oddsmakers say that Sunday’s game against the Vikings also played a big part in deciding the Super Bowl 2010 odds.
“I think the Saints are very fortunate to be in there,” said Jay Kornegay, executive director of the Las Vegas Hilton’s race and sports book . “To get five turnovers at home and having to go to overtime to win it, I don’t think they were playing that well.”
On the other hand the Colts have been quite consistent throughout the season, while the Saints have had some very close calls including Sunday night’s game where the Vikings gained 218 more yards and had double the first downs as the Saints. That game went into overtime with the Saints winning by only a field goal, 31-28.
The MGM Mirage’s race and sports book director Jay Rood stated that soon after the Saints won against the Vikings, bettors were already taking the Colts to win the Super Bowl. One of the main reasons for this trend was because the Saints didn’t cover the spread and bettors usually won’t pick the team that hurt them a second time.
“They don’t usually come right back on the team that just burned them on a bet,” said Rood.
