Always a gracious host, Chad Ochocinco sent a special gift for the Ravens ahead of their trip to Cincinnati this Sunday. On 105.7 FM earlier today, Ochocinco said he ordered gift baskets with deodorant to be sent to the Ravens’ secondary as well as Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. According to Ravens Insider:
“I not only sent them gift baskets, but I sent them something they could use so they don’t sweat,” Ochocinco said.
Stay classy (and hilarious) Chad! It’s too bad this won’t be but a mere footnote as his most entertaining moments as a Bengal, because this is definitely one of his better stunts.
In related news, the Bengals are tied for first with Pittsburgh in the AFC North, both 5-2. The 4-3 Ravens are in sole possession of third place, having lost to Cinci earlier this year in Baltimore.

There’s nothing worse than when the heat of competition is interrupted by silly distractions. You know, like when the San Antonio Spurs are interrupted on Halloween in what appears to be a haunted AT&T Center. While the Spurs and Sacramento Kings played an early season game this past Friday, a bat flew around the court–apparently looking to get in the next game.
With the first interruption he was a minor distraction. Then he came around again and stopped play. Enter Manu Ginobili to the rescue. Call him BatManu:

In case you missed the NHL’s pick em contest to kick off the season earlier this month, fear not. They are doing it again this weekend.
What’s this contest, you say? Simple. All 30 teams are playing some time tomorrow, October 24. You predict the winners of each game and tweet your prediction to @NHL. The NHL makes participating really easy to do for 2 reasons, 1) they’re giving away a bunch of prizes (like a trip to the game of your choice), and 2) you can enter from the NHL.com site without giving up all sorts of personal info.
You can see everybody else’s predictions as they tweet them, here:

And most importantly, if you can’t watch all of those games tomorrow, you can follow the scores and talk all the smack you want on InGameNow, through your mobile device, IM, or this site.

If you’ve been distracted by all the NBA action lately, chances are you missed one of the NHL’s great performances last night.

Evgeni Malkin’s third goal is from Game 2 of the Pens-Hurricanes last night was definitely one of the better goals of the playofffs. I think some skill might be involved in this one. Of the 11 goals in Pittsburgh’s 7-4 win, this is a must see.
Try to follow more quickly than the Cane’s G Cam Ward. But if you don’t, at least you don’t have to face a demoralized locker room afterwards. Video (with several very necessary slow motion replays) after the jump:
