Can LeBron help Cleveland in Boston and force Game 7?

e8e6b9a7dajack 11 Can LeBron help Cleveland in Boston and force Game 7?Game 6 in Boston could very well be the biggest game yet in the history of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In case you haven’t been paying attention to the 2010 NBA playoffs, this year’s league MVP LeBron James and the heavy favorites to win the title, that’s the Cleveland Cavaliers, are on the verge of being sent off to an early summer after the Boston Celtics won Game 5 in Cleveland convincingly, 120-88, to take the 3-2 series lead and give themselves a shot at eliminating the Cavaliers this Thursday night in Boston.

Yep, the Cleveland Cavaliers are in a whole lot of trouble and I can’t even stress how badly these guys NEED to win Game 6 in Boston and force a Game 7 back home in Cleveland. If the Cavs lose this, they can kiss the NBA title goodbye for the second straight year as the odds on favorites to win the title.

That’s right, we may have seen James playing in Cleveland in a Cavaliers uniform for the last time and if our last picture of LeBron as Cleveland’s king is watching him lose to the Boston Celtics 120-88 after shooting an awful 3-14 from…

Alonso looks forward to European leg of the F1 season

e8e6b9a7dajack 1 Alonso looks forward to European leg of the F1 seasonBecause after winning the first race of the season in Bahrain, the Spaniard hasn’t really won shit in Asia.

And now that the European leg of the 2010 F1 season is about to kick off in his home country of Spain, Fernando Alonso is looking forward to having a series of strong finishes in the next few races, claiming that this leg is where the race for the title truly begins.

”The Championship always starts in the first race, but it’s true that it’s just a race to confirm the good sensations you’ve had during testing. But it’s true that in Europe it is time to show who is going to fight for the title and who isn’t,” Fernando Alonso said in an interview.

It’s the start of a nice fight.”

”Being third in the Championship, very few points away from the leader, I believe is a very good situation.”

2010 FIFA World Cup Preview: South Africa

seth-edward-oneal.jpgSouth Africa is the first ever African nation to host the FIFA World Cup.

That’s probably why they are one of the sentimental favorites to win the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

As hosts, they qualified automatically marking their 3rd appearance overall after making it to France in 1998 and then again in 2002 after being banned from entering qualification from 1966 until 1994.

Despite the automatic qualification, South Africa played World Cup qualifiers mainly because World Cup qualifiers also serve as qualifying for the African Nations Cup.

Unfortunately, South Africa was eliminated c68812d8cfafrica 2010 FIFA World Cup Preview: South Africafrom the qualifying. They are, in some way, playing in a World Cup even though they lost in the qualifying stage.

South Africa also played in the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup. They played well, advancing from the group stage before being eliminated by the No.1 ranked team, Spain, in overtime, 3-2.

South Africa plays Mexico, Uruguay, and France. All three will be tough matches. France is ranked in the top 10, while Mexico and Uruguay are in the top 20. South Africa is ranked 88th.

It has been a turbulent few years for South Africa, but a creditable performance at the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, the prelude to this summer, has set expectations high going into their Group A matches.

Their semi-final loss to Brazil followed by a succeeding…

Can Saints end Dream Season with Super Bowl Title?

e8e6b9a7dajack 15 Can Saints end Dream Season with Super Bowl Title?Let me just get this out of the way, if the Saints win the Super Bowl, then the celebration that’ll come after will be bigger than Mardi Gras.

And since Super Bowl XLIV will be their first ever trip to the Super Bowl for the New Orleans Saints, anything they celebrate from this point forward will be nothing compared to the way this city will celebrate if the Saints win the big game.

In case you didn’t get that, the New Orleans Saints are going to the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history. Hosting their first NFC championship game, the Saints defeated the Minnesota Vikings 31-28 to earn a trip to Miami.

897910ad30brees1 Can Saints end Dream Season with Super Bowl Title? They will play the Indianapolis Colts, a team that has a knack for playing and winning Super Bowl championships in Miami. Of course, for a city that has been able to overcome adversity, don’t expect the Colts’ history in Miami faze these Saints fans one bit.

Especially Drew Brees.

”Four years ago, they were hosing this roof,” as Saints coach Sean Payton put it, referring to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. ”This is pretty special for this city.”

The Saints went 20 years before they had their first…

Favre is not the only guy hinting on retirement after Super Bowl XLIV. Kurt Warner is thinking about it too.

Favre is not the only guy hinting on retirement after Super Bowl XLIV. Kurt Warner is thinking about it too.Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner is still pondering about his retirement.

After his team suffered a 45 - 14 blowout versus the Super Bowl XLIV bound New Orleans Saints, Kurt Warner talked to his head coach and said he needs some time to think about his future.

I case you missed it, the 38-year-old Kurt Warner took a vicious hit in their divisional playoff game with the Saints and left the game briefly after throwing an interception. That probably convinced him to reevaluate his future with the Arizona Cardinals.

”I have some ideas in my head, but you want to get away from the season for a minute and make sure what you’re feeling stays that way. But I don’t think it will be a long process,” Kurt Warner said.

30d11bc205warner1 Favre is not the only guy hinting on retirement after Super Bowl XLIV. Kurt Warner is thinking about it too.Warner has missed only one regular season game in the last two seasons. He threw 26 touchdowns and 14 interceptions this year, and played a nearly-flawless wild-card game against the Packers, completing 29 of 33 passes with five touchdowns.

”It’s really going to come down to what I want to do moving forward, what’s the best thing for me,” he said.

It is easy to find reasons he would step away, even with one year and as much as $11 million left on his contract. Many athletes ”Favre it” and unretire because they fail to find comparable means to fill the void. Little can match the rush of an NFL stage. Warner is a…
